Lets Water Through, Not Weeds
DuPont Plantex has a unique porous structure that allows water and liquid fertilizers to permeate through to the soil and allows the soil to breath. At the same time, the individual fibres of polypropylene, which are thermally bonded by heat and pressure, form a strong material, which is impenetrable to most weeds and grasses.
Being chemically inert, Plantex will not irritate the skin and can safely be used on any area without risk to children, pets or the environment.
Plantex works by suppressing weeds. When combined with a mulch covering, light cannot penetrate to the weeds; already weak from lack of light the weeds cannot then penetrate through the fabric.
