In July 2008 we took part in a new Channel Five show entitled 'I Own Britain's Best Home & Garden' hosted by Lawrence Llewelyn Bowen. The series puts 12 of Britain's finest gardens to the test when they were judged by three top horticulturists. There were six hour-long episodes, each featuring a pair of gardens. A winner was picked from each programme to be awarded a prestigious National Garden Scheme Gold Metal, and Haddon Lake House was judged the winner of programme 5 of the series.
